Gmail doesn’t open mail contents in Firefox 8.0
by Agent[31] on Nov.12, 2011, under Tech
I recently upgraded to FireFox 8 across the board on my computers. I’m running my gmail browser client off on my macbook and noticed that I was suddenly unable to view the contents of my emails when I clicked on them. Additionally perplexing was the fact that I could no longer send a chat message to anyone on my buddylist as the text field wouldn’t come into focus.
After testing in Chrome and finding gmail working I did a quick google and discovered this fix:
I solved my problem by Updating all subscriptions for AdBlock Plus Go to FireFox upper left
Add-Ons
Extensions
AdBock Plus Options
Filters
Update all subscriptions

Source
I ran the AdBlock Plus subscription update and all my issues are gone. Happy emailing everyone! Let me know if this fix works for you as well.
Website update: Design and features
by Agent[31] on Mar.23, 2010, under News
If you have been checking out my site over the last few months you may have noted a slight theme change. The new theme is about 95% done, with minor tweaks planned as bugs are ironed out. The site has been tested in firefox 3.6.2, google chrome, safari, and internet explorer 6/7/8. Full support will be provided for these browsers with the exception of IE 6 and 7. IE 6 cannot render transparent png’s correctly, and its method of calculating distances is flawed, so the layout will not appear correct. This is a known issue and will not be resolved so please upgrade to a more modern browser. Besides, IE 6 has many security vulnerabilities that could leave your system compromised. IE 7 calculates some pixel related stuff incorrectly, so there may be 1px gaps in some images. This is a known issue, though I don’t know if I will have a fix for it. Everything else should look fine.
On to the new features. There is now a contact form if you with to contact me via email. I will respond within a day in most cases, so send your questions and/or comments there. If you are following me on twitter, my posting something should automatically update twitter now. In fact, this post is a test run for that new system. You can also receive email updates when I post if you use the sign-up form with feedburner over on the right side. A new feature is the knowledge base located in the top right header next to the section[31] link. The knowledge base will be populated with common questions I receive from friends/family/whoever, in order to build a repository of questions that can be quickly answered.
