San Diego Botanic Garden and a new lens
by Agent[31] on Mar.22, 2010, under News, Photographs
Since I’ve been doing projects with the Nosco Project, I’ve had the opportunity to plan new outings to go on and shoot. The upcoming theme is “Garden” and so I decided it would be prudent to begin searching San Diego for appropriate garden. Google alerted to me to the existence of the San Diego Botanic Garden, located a few miles North in Encinitas. I knew this would be an exciting opportunity to try out my new lens, the 60mm Canon USM macro lens. A very fine piece of work, this lens would be getting its trial run in the gardens. The first photograph is the first thing the 60mm ever saw. Enjoy! Be sure to go to the Nosco Project to see my photograph for the Garden theme!
Photo Tip #1 – Instant rain, Just add water
by Agent[31] on Jul.29, 2009, under Photographs
Well I was cruising around flickr when I realized something stupidly simple. Every time it rains we all rush out and go view the plants and flowers in their wet, dewy glory. Instead of waiting for the rain, carry a spray bottle with water in it! Instant rain, just add water. Inspiration came from this image: http://www.flickr.com/photos/viamoi/3373434879/
